I’m excited to announce that I’ll be releasing a paranormal pulp novella as one half of a double novella feature with writer Anthony Mathenia. Anthony and I were enjoying drinks at a local cigar bar when we decided to take a break from our more literary endeavors to write some fun commercial literature. This was partly a necessity as this project will guarantee us entry to comic conventions that we’re keen on attending, and we’re also excited to write more fantastical stories coupled with humor, action, emotional resonance, and science fiction. We’re drawing from all of our favorite pop influences to create two fantastic stories. The double feature will be available as one paperback, but each novella will have an individual cover, so when you finish one story, you’ll simply turn the book over and flip it to begin reading the next story. Tabula Rasa follows the exploits of Ryan Pierce after he’s nearly killed in a quarrel with the undead. He wakes to find the entire eastern seaboard overrun by an army of vampire covens. Ryan and his new friend, Ehren, team up to battle any creature foolish enough to get in their way. They must face the vulnerability of the open road to reunite with their loved ones and find answers to their questions.
